Bringing to mind a meander through tall trees and mist-coated foliage, Glenmorangie A Tale of The Forest Single Malt Scotch Whisky is Glenmorangie’s first whisky crafted from barley kilned together with woodland botanicals. Inspired by the ever-changing natural wonder encountered while wandering in the forest near his home - Glenmorangie’s Master Distiller, Dr Bill Lumsden, brought back the ancient technique of botanical barley kilning, selecting juniper berries, birch bark, and heather flowers for this featured released. Bottled at 46% ABV (92-proof), Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest features maturation in ex-bourbon and select refill casks. The nose showcases scents, sounds, and sights of a dark forest - surrounding your senses with aromas of thick pine, juniper, and coriander herbs laced with wisps of smoke. On the palate, expect notes of deep-green eucalyptus and bites of bitter orange drifting to a slow, gently oaky finish.
